Inklaim costs €49 per matter (up to 10 figures), €89 a month on the Professional plan (60 figures) and €159 per seat per month on the Firm plan (100 figures per seat, from 3 seats). Enterprise starts at €20,000 a year. Prices in euros, VAT not applicable (Italian flat-rate scheme), with a 14-day free trial.

How much does Inklaim cost?

Five plans, one way of counting: you pay for the finished figure, when you export it for filing. Choose based on how many patent applications you prepare.

Patent drawings with Inklaim start at €49 per matter, for up to 10 figures. If you prepare drawings every month, choose Professional (€89 a month, 60 figures) or Firm (€159 per seat per month, 100 figures per seat, shared). Each figure beyond the plan costs €2.50; re-exports of the same figure are free for 12 months.

Inklaim is web software from an Italian start-up founded in Turin that prepares draft patent drawings, checked against EPO, UIBM, USPTO, PCT, CNIPA and KIPO rules, from 3D CAD models (STEP/IGES), DXF or vector PDF files, photos of an object, sketches and claims.

How figures are counted

When do you pay for a figure?

Only when the figure is finished and you export it for filing. Drafts, corrections and checks don’t use up any figures.

An application with 12 figures

On the Per matter plan you pay €49 for the first 10 figures and 2 × €2.50 for the other two: €54 in total, with no VAT added.

A firm with 3 seats

On the Firm plan that is €477 a month for 300 figures shared by everyone. Reviewers who approve the drawing sheets don’t take up a seat.

Exporting a patent drawing sheet for filing: choosing the patent office and the language of the texts — Export by office and language: this is where a figure is counted.

Questions about pricing and billing

How much do patent drawings cost with Inklaim?

An application with up to 10 figures costs €49 on the Per matter plan. On Professional, €89 a month for 60 figures, a figure costs less than €1.50 if you use the whole plan. The patent attorney’s review remains the firm’s work.

What does the free trial include?

Fourteen days and 10 watermarked figures, so you can see how Inklaim works on your own matters. Data is stored in the European Union, as on all other plans.

When is a figure counted?

When you export it for filing. While you prepare, correct or check it, you don’t use up any figures. Re-exports of the same figure are free for 12 months.

What happens if I exceed the figures in my plan?

Each extra figure costs €2.50, with no VAT added. You don’t need to change plans for a matter with more figures than usual.

Do the prices include VAT?

No VAT is added: Inklaim uses the Italian flat-rate scheme (regime forfettario, Art. 1(54–89) of Law 190/2014), so the price shown is the price you pay. These are launch prices, updated October 2026.

On the Firm plan, do reviewers need a seat?

No. A reviewer views and approves the drawing sheets without editing them and does not take up a seat. The Firm plan starts at 3 seats, each with 100 figures shared across the firm.

How much does the pilot project cost?

The financial terms of the pilot are agreed with the firm. The pilot lasts 4 weeks, involves 3–6 people and uses Inklaim to redo 3 matters already filed and published.

What does Enterprise add?

Sign-in with your company account (single sign-on), the option to install Inklaim on your own servers and connection to your own AI endpoint. It starts at €20,000 a year, with terms to be agreed.
